Douglas Smith
Doug is a Canadian writer whose stories have appeared in over sixty
professional magazines and anthologies in twenty-six countries and twenty-one
languages, including InterZone, The Third Alternative,
Best New Horror, Weird Tales, Amazing Stories,
Cicada, On Spec, Oceans of the Mind, and Prairie
Fire, as well as anthologies from Penguin/Roc, DAW, and others.
Stories on infinity plus include "Spirit
Dance," "The Red Bird," "New Year's Eve," "The
Boys are Back in Town" and "Going Harvey in the Big House."
Doug was a John W. Campbell Award finalist for best new writer in 2001
and since then has twice won the Canadian Aurora Award for short fiction.
He is currently working on his first novel based on his award-winning
