Conrad Williams Conrad Williams was born in Warrington in 1969. He has been in print for 12 years. In 1998, his debut novel Head Injuries (The Do-Not Press) was published to widespread acclaim. He has sold over 60 short stories to a diverse range of publications and anthologies including Panurge, Sunk Island Review, This Is, Back Brain Recluse, The Third Alternative, The Ex-Files, The Agony and the Ecstasy, A Book of Two Halves, Neon Lit, Sugar Sleep, Scaremongers, Cold Cuts 2, Darklands 2, The Mammoth Book of Dracula, Dark Terrors 2, 3 and 4; Best New Horror 9; The Year's Best Horror XXII and Narrow Houses 3: Blue Motel. In 1993 he won the Littlewood Arc Prize and the British Fantasy Award for Best Newcomer. Head Injuries has since been optioned by Revolution Films (Jude, Welcome to Sarajevo, Wonderland) and is on their development slate. Conrad has been commissioned to write the screenplay. His novel, London Revenant (2004), is published by The Do-Not Press. Conrad has lived in London since 1994. He works at the Channel 4 Press Office and in his spare time he writes reviews for Time Out's Net Books.
